SID Bank has successfully issued a Covid-19 bonds in the amount of EUR 350 million on the international capital markets. The funds from the bonds will be used to finance the Slovenian economy to alleviate the consequences of the Covid-19 epidemic crisis.
The demand for bonds exceeded expectations and totaled in more than EUR 700 million, which enabled SID Bank to achieve a very favorable yield to maturity of bonds with a 5-year maturity of 0.14%.
These funds will make it easier for companies to overcome temporary liquidity problems, as well as speed up the achievement of appropriate technological and sustainable transformation, which will enable the restoration of economic growth and the provision of quality jobs.
